"I BELIEVE IN PINK! I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."— Audrey Hepburn

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every night, friends. You have done what you could. Let it go.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Little Pink Library...

When we read a story, we inhabit it. The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls. What happens next will take place within the four walls of the story. And this is possible because the story's voice makes everything its own.-John Berger

I am an avid and voracious reader...those are my only qualifications...I know what I like, and I am sharing that here...enjoy...

This series by Cleo Coyle falls under the heading of "Cozy Mystery" a particular favorite of mine...both the genre and the series, that is...
I have read all of the first nine and I have started the 10th. I love them!

These mysteries are set in NYC and are centered around a coffee house called The Village Blend and the wonderfully eccentric owner Madame and her former daughter in law and manager Claire Cosi. Claire also happens to have a nose for mystery as well as a penchant for solving them...Add to that Madame's regret that Claire is her former DIL, a hunk of an ex-husband, a current hunky police Lt. boyfriend, and there is lots of fun here!
There is even a virtual Village Blend...coffeehousemystery check in and have some fun!
More to come on the 10th installment in this series...Murder by Mocha as soon as I finish it! So Stay tuned!

Another favorite of mine is the "In Death Series" By JD Robb( a pseudonym of Nora Roberts...
This series is set in the not too distant future, 2050 or so and there are 32 books in the series and counting...the next one is due out in September! I just love this series! Lt. Eve Dallas and the rest of the characters are a blast to get to know and it is my recommendation that you read the entire series in order, as Nora's specialty is the development of her characters and she does a lovely job of it. You really get to see how the characters and the relationships between all of them develop as the books develop and the crimes and the mysteries solved along the way are very meaty and well worth the read!
There are a few novellas and anthologies along the way also...that is not to say the the books cannot stand alone if you prefer to go that route, but you will be doing yourself a disservice if you decide to do it that way...
Oh, and the future thing? Very minor...just a natural progression...don't let that stop you...no scifi involved really...
The first and most recent in the series...
Try them, you won't regret it! In fact, I remember when I discovered this series, I just gobbled them up...I was so disappointed when I finished...now I eagerly await each new installment! They never disappoint!
